stationary love

I love dabbling in a little graphic design here and there. When it came time for my wedding back in 2009, I knew that I wanted to design and assemble my own invitations. It was a ton of work, but I am so happy I did. Custom invitations really add a personal touch to everything!

Here is the full invitation, rsvp with envelope, reception card, ceremony card, and info on accommodations and directions.

Here is Alex & Aref's engagement party invitation

All of the wine glasses are hand drawn by Alex herself and the custom writing as well! We are so lucky to have someone with such fabulous penmanship around, since it is not a quality I possess.

And of course, I cannot forget about a custom monogram. There are so many uses for a wedding monogram, such as on the invites, thank you tags for favours, aisle runner and just to incoporate into your decor. Here are a few that I have made of the past few years for lovely couples!

simple & elegant intimate wedding

I am so excited to be sharing this super special wedding from August that we had the opportunity to decorate!
After posting the photos for Alex's engagement party Lauren messaged me and asked if I would be interested in decorating and photographing her wedding. I was so excited! The only glitch was that I was going to be traveling Europe during the wedding, and would not be able to photograph it. Of course, Katie and Mercedes stepped up and made the rest happen. We had met with Lauren a few times and she discussed what she was looking for, and hopes of what her day would look like. With under 30 guests, the wedding ceremony was to be held in her parents backyard, and the reception at a local Italian restaurant that was in need of a wedding face-lift. Lauren's colours were lavender and grey, and we incorporated lots of pretty, soft flowers, a DIY burlap banner, milk glass, sparkly tea lights, and lots of white accents.

lovely white engagement party

This party was a labour of love for our best friend Alex.

When Katie and I found out that Alex would be getting engaged soon, we started planning the engagement party. We had a vision of white and of course, a bit of pink, feminine and soft. We wanted desserts and drinks and a fun little celebration for our Alex.

This was a 100% DIY party! We made all of the white desserts, piped each ‘love’ cookie and macaron, made the doily banners, felt heart straws, and invitations. My mom helped with arranging the perfect pink peonies, and other arrangements in my favourite milk glasses.
